Q can the light be mounted with the alabaster facing down?

 The Hinkley Lighting Cello 1 Light Sconce 5450AT features a socket ring to hold the glass in place which means it may be mounted facing down, however the manufacturer recommends only mounting the fixture facing up as heat may build up in a down facing fixture and reduce the life of the fixture.
