Q can this light face down also

The  Hinkley Lighting Lanza 2 Light Bath Vanity 5102AN can be mounted either up or down.

Q I was told at the store it cannot face down b/c of the extreme heat would burn out the wiring-True? Also says 2 bulbs and max. wattage is 60 so does that mean it will be equivilent to 1 60 watt bulb in bathroom or 120 watts? Thanks.

 The Hinkley Lighting Lanza 2 Light Bath Vanity  5102AN should not be hung upside down.  It is a G-9 Bulb therefore when hung upside down the life of the bulb decreases up to 70%.  This fixture requires (2) 60W bulbs totalling 120W.
