Q I am confused about measurements for this light. Will you clarify 5" canopy diameter? Is this the width of the light across the bottom as well? If so, I think it may be too narrow for my needs. Thank you.

 The Hinkley Lighting Nantucket 2 Light Outdoor Hanging Lantern 2372AS canopy diameter is in reference to the canopy which is on the top of the fixture that hangs from the ceiling.

Q Last question I asked you didn't answer so I'll try again. What are the dimensions of this lamp? Re, what is the diameter of the lamp at the bottom? Your answer clarifying canopy definition didnt clarify. Is the canopy the knobby part sticking up?

 The Hinkley Lighting Nantucket 2 Light Outdoor Hanging Lantern 2372AS has a canopy diameter of 5".  The canopy is not on the actual fixture itself.  It is the round piece at the top that holds the entire fixture. The canopy is mounted to the ceiling.  The fixture measurements are 5.5" wide 14.5" h and weighs 5lbs.
